Nepal Engineering Council

Nepal Engineering Council (NEC) was established is to make the engineering profession effective by mobilizing it in a more systematic and scientific and also to register the engineers as per their qualifications.

Established under the Nepal Engineering Council Act 2055, it preambles to make engineering profession more effective, mobilize in a managed and scientific way, and register the engineers according to their discipline and qualification. In this context, the Governing Body of the Nepal Engineering Council is utmost concerned about the quality of the engineers. Hence, the Council gives top most priority to the quality engineering education and wishes all the approved Institutions follow its guidelines to produce capable engineers to deal with the engineering issues.

Ethical practices by the registered engineers have been Council's one of the main objectives and wish that all the registered engineers follow the guidelines under the provision of Act and Regulations.  The council realizes its responsibility to enforce these provisions so that the engineers perform their duties with full accountability to gain the highest prestigious position in the Nepalese Society.
NEC also gives priority to bring in its major stakeholders for the participation in the various interaction programs to seek advices in order to move ahead with more meaningful and inclusive activities to cope with the changes worldwide.
