Bachelor of Computer Engineering is a four-year, eight-semester program of Tribhuvan University. Fourteen (14) Engineering Colleges of Nepal offers Bachelor of Computer Engineering (BE Computer) course with affiliation from Tribhuvan University. Total number of BE Computer seats at Tribhuvan University is 710.
Computer Engineers design and develop the application of computer systems. Majority of computers are used as components within other systems such as audio-visual players, engine management systems, aircraft navigation systems, and automatic control systems.
This programme is intended to produce skilled, qualified human resource that works for software development, network design and implementation, hardware and software troubleshooting, network security policies, etc
Eligibility
The candidate applying for BE Computer Engineering program:
In case of Letter Grading System, students should have secured a minimum "C" Grade in all subjects in Grade 11 and 12.
OR
Should have successfully completed twelve years of schooling in the science stream or equivalent from any university, board, or institution recognized by TU. Should have secured a minimum of second division in their +2 or equivalent
Should have successfully passed the entrance examination conducted by TU securing at least 35% marks.

Fee
The fees for Bachelor of Computer Engineering at Tribhuvan University’s constituent campuses are divided into three categories based on student status:
- Regular students, who receive scholarships, pay a total of Rs. 52,696 (i.e. Rs. 6,587/semester) for the four-year program;
- Full Fee students, who are admitted on a merit basis, incur a total cost of Rs. 396,008 (i.e. Rs. 49,501/semester); and
- Foreign Students, who pay the highest rate, totaling Rs. 1,105,208 (i.e. Rs. 138, 151/semester) over the four years.
In addition to the fees outlined above, students are subject to several other fees and financial requirements:
- T.U. Registration Fee: A one-time registration fee applies to students who are not already registered with Tribhuvan University: Rs. 500 for students who passed their examinations in Nepal and Rs. 1,000 for those who passed from abroad.
- Refundable Deposits: At the time of admission, students must provide a security deposit that covers library, laboratory, and campus facilities. The total deposit amounts differ by category: Rs. 3,400 for Regular students, Rs. 40,000 for Full Fee students, and Rs. 1,15,000 for Foreign Students.
- Initial Admission Payment: The grand total for the first-time payment; which includes the first semester's fees, one-time fees (like identity card and health insurance), and the required deposits is Rs. 16,884 for Regular students, Rs. 205,191 for Full Fee students, and Rs. 508,873 for Foreign Students.
