Message from the Campus Chief

Ram Prasad Poudel

Pashchimanchal Campus was established in 2038 BS as first regional technical campus aimed at generating engineering technicians and overseers under the umbrella of Tribhuvan University. The campus is committed to the development of highly skilled engineering manpower in various disciplines as per the country’s requirement. Now, it offers six Bachelor level programs: Civil, Computer, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Geomatics and Mechanical Engineering; and three masters’ level programs: Distributed Generations in Electrical Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering and Management in Civil Engineering and Communication and Knowledge Engineering in Computronix Engineering. Campus administration has planned and now in academic process to run one Bachelor degree course in Automobile Engineering; and two more masters level courses in Mechanical and Materials Engineering and Geospatial Engineering since coming admission.

The vision of the campus is to be a premier engineering education institution at par with world class role models and running with the mission to provide quality engineering education and research in the frontier engineering areas relevant primarily to nation; and is also becoming more and more responsive to the ever-changing needs of the students and the engineering profession. The campus is experiencing a period of significant growth because it offers an impressive range of academic resources.

The alumni are spreading across all continents engaged in the engineering profession of wider disciplines. The campus is enormously benefited by the wide range of perspectives and talents brought in by the students, faculty and staff from a variety of backgrounds. The faculties, staff and students are important stakeholders apart from infrastructures to achieve quality. The campus also offers a wide range of social, cultural and recreation activities with the hope that students take a little time from their studies to enjoy some of these benefits as well.

As Campus Chief, I express my commitment for the highest quality in the Bachelor and Master programs and promise that these programs are built on a sound foundation of excellence and innovation. Campus creates a common platform for students, professionals, industrialists and entrepreneurs to co-ordinate and communicate for the technology development and empowerment of Engineering Education.
