College Readers Magazine in association with HISSAN, OPEN and AECoN is organizing 4th Virtual Edufair-2022. Prem Narayan Aryal, Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara University inaugurated this event on 3rd January 2022 from Alfa House, Kathmandu.
Officials of HISSAN, OPEN, AECoN, PABSON, N-PABSAN, NPCA, and academicians of Kathmandu valley were present at that event. VC Aryal and Registrar of Pokhara University, Associate Prof. Dr. Dipak Bhandari also unveiled the College Readers “Pokhara University” special issue in that event.
VC Prof. Dr. Pre Narayan Aryal requested all the stakeholders to be helpful in every move the university takes for benefitting the colleges and the nation. He further assured the participants and delegates that he has been continually lobbying with the line ministers and related secretaries for reforming the policies
Addressing the event Registrar Dr. Bhandari affiliated colleges for becoming instrumental to realizing the university goal and especially assisting the university in the pandemic for successfully conducting the examinations and academic activities, online. He critically evaluated the role of affiliated college owners and blamed them for obstructing the affiliation granting and new subject granting activities to the new aspiring colleges.
OPEN President Mr. Nawaraj Pandey showed his grievances openly towards Medical Education Commission and blamed them for deserting private colleges offering para-medical courses. He said due to the acts of Medical Education Commission thousands of students are going abroad to study paramedical courses when better education is available in our own country. He further requested the VC for providing affiliation and programs to the eligible colleges running programs with affiliation from Pokhara University.
Mr. Narendra Bahadur Adhikari, President, Kathmandu HISSAN delivered the welcome speech while an array of other speakers delivered their speech and wished for the success of the 4th virtual Edufair 2022. Dr. Rajendra KC, president of Private Campus Association Nepal; Yuvraj Sharma, Senior Vice President of HISSAN; Er. Prof. Hari Bhandari, Senior Vice President of OPEN; Mr. Kishor Gautam, Deputy General Secretary of PABSON; Mr. Ritu Raj Sapkota, President of N-PABSON, Arun Kumar Bhandari, Secretary of OPEN and CCM of AECoN also addressed the program.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Prem Narayan Aryal felicitated Er. Prof. Hari Bhandari with ‘Letter of Appreciation’ on behalf of College Readers for receiving dozens of national and international education awards and recent ESQR’s Quality Achievements Award-2021 in the Platinum Category, in recognition of outstanding commitment, support and efforts for the assurance of quality management.
VC Aryal handed over ‘token of love’ to the speakers of the function on behalf of College Readers and 4th Virtual Edufair.
The 15 day long ‘Virtual Edufair’, also known as the largest virtual education fair in the country, will last on 4th Magh 2078.
HISSAN Secretary and Convenor of the Virtual Edufair-2022 Mr. Ramhari Silwal presided over the program and was decently conducted by Mr. Bhawani Prasad Poudel, Secretary of HISSAN Kathmandu.
More than 100 colleges that offer various bachelor-level programs in Nepal are participating in this Edu Fair.
