BBA is a 4-year, 8-semester program of Pokhara University, offered through 46 Business Schools. These schools have a total enrollment capacity of 3,888 students. Every year, Pokhara University confers 396 BBA Scholarships.

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) of Pokhara University is a 120-credit-hours graduate program. It has eight semesters in total. Currently 40+ Business Schools offer BBA program in affiliation with Pokhara University in Nepal.

BBA program of Pokhara University aims at educating students and preparing them for handling managerial position to start a professional career in business or public management. It will enable them to take over responsible positions in domestic and global business organizations with modern impersonal skills and technical know-how of the recent trends in global business.

This BBA program will develop positive attitudes, abilities and practical skills that are needed for a competent and responsible manager; and the program will work as a foundation for master's studies in management.

Objectives of the Program:

The faculty of Management Studies is committed to providing its students with broad knowledge of management by introducing them to innovative courses of management and developing their creative analytical and decision making abilities. Theoretical foundation coupled with practical knowledge will produce efficient and competent middle level managers.

The BBA Program specifically aims at:

  1. Preparing students to take an entry level managerial position to start a professional career in business and public management.
  2. Inculcating in students positive attitudes, abilities and practical skills essential for competent and responsible managers.
  3. Preparing students with the necessary foundation and competence for admission to the MBA program.

Salient Features

Grading system:

The BBA students will be evaluated on the international grading system with the range of 0-4 Scale. To get the Bachelor degree, the students must secure a CGPA average of 2.0.

Project work

BBA students are required to undertake a field base research assignment and conduct an empirical analysis of a business problem and prepare a report on a prescribed format. The report will be evaluated by Pokhara University.

Eligibility

Eligibility for Admission

For Grade 12 Graduates till 2078 BS

Pass Grade 12 examiantion with a minimum CGPA 1.8 and achieve a minimum of D+ grade in every subjects in Grade 11 and 12.

For Grade 12 Graduates from 2079 BS

Pass Grade 12 examiantion with a minimum CGPA 1.8 and achieve a minimum of D grade in every subjects in Grade 11 and 12.

Students who have successfully completed higher secondary or intermediate examination with minimum second division are eligible to apply. Candidates applying for BBA program need to submit the application form along with their academic qualifications and transcripts. The admission committee selects the students from the candidates based on their academic performance and entrance test.

Admission Criteria

Every year One hundred Eighty Four (184) students get scholarships to study Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at constitutent and affiliated colleges of Pokhara University.

Pokhara University School of Business, Kaski offers scholarships to 19 students whereas 165 students get scholarships to study BBA from 45 affiliated colleges every year.

Scope of the BBA Program

On completion of the BBA course, aspirants can study the Masters Program in Business Administration. The course structure of the BBA program is designed in such a manner that it acts as a foundation for the MBA program. The BBA curriculum prepares aspirants to perform their fullest extent in their post graduation program. This degree provides you excellent skills and overall knowledge of Business operations.
