Institutions offering Ten Plus Two (+2) Management

Currently, 3719 institutions offer Ten Plus Two (+2) Management under National Examinations Board in Nepal with 427 of them offering in Kathmandu district.

+2 Management is designed to build a strong academic foundation in business and management studies. It helps students develop essential knowledge, confidence, and analytical skills required for further studies in business, administration, and related fields.

The program provides both theoretical understanding and practical exposure to key areas such as business management, accounting, finance, marketing, office practices, hotel management, and travel and tourism. It enables students to identify their area of interest before pursuing undergraduate specialization.

Objective

The main objective of the +2 Management program is to provide students with fundamental knowledge of management principles and practices. It serves as a stepping stone for higher education in business and management-related disciplines.

At this level, students are introduced to basic concepts and skills in functional areas such as:

  • General Management
  • Accountancy
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Office Practices

Upon completion, students are prepared for an entry-level understanding of management functions and further academic advancement.

Eligibility

Students who have completed Grade 10 (SEE or equivalent) are eligible to apply for Grade 11 (+2 Management).

As per the National Curriculum Development and Evaluation Council decision (2079/05/19), students must have obtained a minimum average GPA of 1.6 in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) to be eligible for enrollment. 

Job Prospects

After completing +2 Management, students may explore entry-level opportunities in:

  • Banking and financial institutions
  • Administrative support roles in private or public organizations
  • Customer service and office-based roles

Curricular Structure

Curriculum Development Center has recently unveiled the new curriculum for class 11 and 12. The new curriculum has eliminated the system of particular stream-based education like Ten Plus Two Science, Management, Humanities, and so on.
