The Secondary Education Examination (SEE), previously known as the SLC, is one of the most significant academic milestones in Nepal. Often referred to as the “Iron Gate”, SEE opens the pathway to higher education and future career opportunities.

The student's performance in each course is documented on their permanent academic record. The evaluation of the student's success will be based on how well they meet the specific objectives of the course. Grades lower than C+ are not deemed acceptable for students aspiring to enroll in reputable plus two colleges. Therefore, if a student receives a low grade, they have the opportunity to take a re-examination to enhance their grade.

Choosing the right course after SEE is one of the most important decisions of your life. Your selected stream directly influences your future career—whether in medicine, engineering, business, law, or social sciences.
