Established in 1985, I.J. Pioneer High School, located in Hattiban, stands as a testament to the visionary dream of its Late Patron Indra Bhakta Shrestha. His unwavering belief that no child should have to seek quality education beyond Nepal laid the foundation for an institution dedicated to academic excellence and national development. A distinguished figure from a reputed business family, Indra Bhakta Shrestha was not only the founding father of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and FNCCI but also a leader with a deep sense of responsibility towards the country.
With the motto “Changing the Nation through Education,” I.J. Pioneer High School has continually evolved to meet the educational needs of the nation. What began as a small initiative with just a few students in Nursery, Kindergarten, and the First Grade has grown into a fully-fledged high school. Over time, the school has created an enriching and dynamic learning environment, expanding its academic offerings to include +2 Science and Management faculties from 2013. Plans are underway to introduce additional streams, aligning with the national education policy and the evolving aspirations of students.
At its core, I.J. Pioneer is guided by the noble objective of nurturing students holistically—developing their body, mind, and spirit while instilling a strong work ethic and an appreciation for lifelong learning. The institution remains steadfast in its commitment to providing a scientific, innovative, and student-centered approach to education. Unlike profit-driven institutions, I.J. Pioneer High School aspires to be a platform where students can fulfill the farsighted vision of its late patron, contributing meaningfully to Nepal and the world.
Today, with a strong legacy and an ever-growing number of students and institutions recognizing its impact, I.J. Pioneer High School continues to set benchmarks in quality education, shaping future leaders and changemakers.
