True to Swamiji's vision, the school's aims and objectives are to blend the traditional wisdom of the East with the technological advancements of the West. The school seeks to help students establish strong human relationships while instilling virtues of moral courage and social discipline.
Hostel
The hostel offers various amenities such as insurance with security measures, Wi-Fi, Yoga and Meditation classes, sports facilities like Basketball and Table Tennis, well-furnished rooms, laundry services, a library, and a cafeteria that serves 100% vegetarian food. It is located in Kupandole, opposite the UN Park, at a distance of 5 kilometers from the school.
Tours and Visit
The school organizes educational tours to both domestic and foreign locations with historical or tourist significance, allowing students to gain knowledge about different languages, cultures, customs, traditions, flora, and fauna.
Moreover, DAVSKVB arranges two excursions annually, one for seniors and one for juniors, to places of historical importance.
Sports
Sports activities form a vital part of DAV's co-curricular program, providing students with ample opportunities to participate in both internal and external sports competitions and activities. The school has its own sports facilities, including a football ground, futsal court, cricket ground, indoor cricket ground, table tennis hall, basketball court, and volleyball court, where students can learn and practice various sports as part of their curriculum. The sports club of DAVSKVB organizes various tournaments such as inter-house, intra-section, and inter-section tournaments in football, cricket, table tennis, and basketball throughout the academic year. Additionally, the school hosts international cricket tournaments and inter-school football tournaments annually.
Transportation
The students are served by a total of 76 bus routes in both primary and secondary blocks, covering all major roads in the Kathmandu valley. The transportation system is efficiently managed, secure, and designed with the students' convenience in mind.
Canteen
DAV offers a lunch service that caters exclusively to vegetarian diets. The canteen adheres to strict hygiene standards to ensure that the food served meets the nutritional needs of the students. The primary concern is to provide fresh meals and pure drinking water.
