Ideal Model School was established in 2048 B.S. (1991 A.D.) under the able leadership of experienced and dedicated luminaries with the intention of providing an environment for the systematic, physical, mental, social and the overall personality development of students. Ever since its inception, IMS has moved forward steadily. It has been sensitive to the changes in both the attitudes of students and the demands of modern society. Thus, it has constantly endeavored to incorporate necessary changes so that the children can become a part of the emerging New World order.
By becoming a part of the Little Angels family, IMS has always taken advantage of the massive infrastructure available and also share the immense material and manpower resource pool present. In addition, students passing out of IMS utilize the numerous avenues for higher studies, which the L.A. School System has already successfully operated for several years now. Further more, Ideal Model School too has successfully initiated its (+) 2 and higher education after taking into consideration the requests made by parents of the school.

Aims and Objectives
Science Laboraatories
The school features three science laboratories, which are fully equipped for conducting experiments in the fields of biology, physics, and chemistry. Theoretical knowledge is reinforced by practical demonstrations that take place in these laboratories. Starting from grade IV, students are taken to the labs whenever it is necessary to provide them with practical exposure.
Computer Laboratories
IMS has three computer laboratories with interlinked computers through a Local Area Network (LAN). A team of highly trained teachers offers computer education to students from grades III to XII, ensuring a healthy student-to-computer ratio for maximum practical exposure. To meet the requirements of the ever-changing curriculum, the computer systems are frequently upgraded.
Library
The school boasts a comprehensive library with a vast collection of books and audio-visual materials that students can borrow or read. The library is updated regularly with new books, and students can also access newspapers and periodicals. Moreover, an intensive reading program has been implemented over the years, requiring students to read several prescribed books each term, in addition to their regular textbooks, and submit book reports.
Co-Curricular & Extracurricular Activities
IMS is a school that places great emphasis on the overall development of its students, with co-curricular and extracurricular activities being an integral part of the curriculum. These activities are carefully planned and integrated into the school calendar, including inter-house competitions, sporting events such as swimming, football, basketball, cricket, athletics, and table tennis, and participation in inter-school competitions and national and international events. Students from grades I to VII are required to participate in gymnastics, yoga, Wu-Shu, and dance, and from grade IV and above, they can choose to enroll in one of the after-school club activities, such as music classes, robotics, or social entrepreneurship development. Additionally, the school has established clubs like the IMS ECO Club, IMS Junior Red Cross Society, The Society for Spoken English, Elixir Club and Book Readers' Club. The school also places a strong emphasis on field trips, with students from Kindergarten upwards taken on several compulsory trips each year, as well as an annual optional night-out excursion that is adventure-based and in nature's proximity.
Transportation
The school provides transport facilities to day scholar students through its fleet of 26 buses. The transport division is managed by a Transport in-charge who reports directly to the principal.
Health Services
The school is equipped with a qualified doctor who visits at least twice a week to check the boarders, while an experienced Para medic attends to the medical needs of the boarders every morning. Parents are informed in case a child requires specialized treatment, and for emergencies, the students are taken to hospitals/nursing homes as suggested by our doctor/paramedic in consultation with parents.
Cafeteria
At IMS, there is a well-maintained and roomy cafeteria offering a variety of healthy food options to ensure the students are never hungry. Consuming clean and nutritious food helps the students remain fit, energetic, and focused in class all day long.
Hostel
The hostels are looked after by wardens, resident teachers, and non-teaching staff who aim to provide a homely environment for the children. Separate blocks are kept for girls and boys with sufficient privacy and individual lockers. The hostel stay is made lively with numerous activities and every Saturday parents are encouraged to make telephone calls to school to speak to their children. A qualified doctor checks the boarders at least twice a week and for emergencies, students are taken to hospitals/nursing homes as suggested by our doctor/paramedic in consultation with parents.
