Implemented as part of the Nurturing Excellence in Higher Education Program, the University Grants Commission (UGC) Nepal has introduced the Entrepreneurship Support Program to elevate specialization in higher education. In the pursuit of fostering entrepreneurial initiatives, the UGC has called for Letters of Intent from higher education institutions for the upcoming academic year 2080/81.
Within the Entrepreneurship Support Program, the UGC extends course development grants to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and provides proposal development funds to eligible faculties and graduate students. Notably, the program includes start-up seed funds tailored for young faculties and graduate students, facilitating the establishment of enterprises ranging from small to large scale. This initiative aims to encourage and support entrepreneurial endeavors within the higher education landscape.
