Namgyal Secondary School

Established in 1988 AD, Namgyal Secondary School is located in Gokarna, Kathmandu, and imparts Tibetan education in Nepal. The school is affiliated with the National Examination Board (NEB) and offers ten plus two (10+2) programs in the Management and Humanities streams. The school was built with the partnership of SOS Kinderdorf International, the Department of Education, the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA), Dharamsala, India, and the Dalai Lama. 

Namgyal Secondary School is dedicated to delivering high-quality Tibetan education and is crucial in preserving Tibetan culture within the Nepalese community. The institution prides itself on employing fully trained educators who meet its goal of educational excellence. The Department of Education, CTA, offers a special scholarship to 25 outstanding students from the school annually, supporting their pursuit of higher education and vocational training. This initiative underscores the institution's commitment to fostering academic and professional growth among its students.
