ABOUT

Kathmandu Valley College provides a thorough and excellent education at the higher secondary level (+2) in the fields of Management and Science. It was established to address the demand for high-quality education in lifelong learning and is associated with the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB) under the Nepalese government's Ministry of Education. KVC is a privately funded and operated institution governed by a managing committee composed of distinguished scholars who are accountable for establishing policies and making decisions to ensure the college is efficiently managed.

Kathmandu Valley College strives to provide a comprehensive education that integrates science and morals while incorporating human values. Its goal is to cultivate leaders who possess the courage and self-confidence to confront the future and influence the direction of humanity through knowledge, wisdom, reasoning, initiative, and moral fortitude.

Library

The college has kept a humble library in order to assist with teaching, learning, and research endeavors. The abundantly supplied library, containing a diverse selection of reading and reference materials, benefits both students in their academic pursuits and teaching staff in their instruction. College Cafeteria

The college runs a self-service cafeteria that is small in size, but is kept tidy and sanitary. It offers a limited selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices. To make purchases, coupons are sold in advance in various denominations. In addition, the cafeteria provides students with access to filtered water that is available throughout the college day.

Teaching Method

The college provides a comprehensive education that fosters a disciplined and productive learning environment. The experienced faculty and administration offer regular assessments, such as exams, assignments, and presentations, to evaluate student progress. They also provide extra classes for those who require additional support. The life skills training program prepares students for their future careers by instilling positive thinking, leadership, and computer skills, among others. They offer motivational books and counseling in various fields, such as medical, engineering, and banking, to enrich students' knowledge and lead them towards success.

Sports

The school curriculum includes sports tournaments at different levels, featuring chess, badminton, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, football, Taekwondo, as well as music and dance competitions. Science Lab

The college possesses spacious and well-equipped science laboratories that conform to the standards established by the Higher Secondary Education Board and other renowned universities. For our +2 level students, they provide four separate science labs, namely physics, chemistry, botany, and zoology, each outfitted with the latest equipment and technology to facilitate an immersive and engaging learning experience.

Computer Lab

The school boasts a well-equipped computer lab with the latest models of computers and software, enabling students to develop their knowledge and creativity. Computer technology has become an essential component of modern society, and we recognize the significance of providing our students with the basic skills of computer science. Therefore, they offer a non-credit course in computer science to equip students with the fundamental skills necessary to succeed in today's world.


Admission Guidelines

Eligibility

  • Management: Second Division with at least 55% in SEE.
  • Science: At least 65% in SEE with 65 marks each in Science, Mathematics and English.

Entrance examination run by the college is compulsory for all applicants. The admission procedure is purely based on the entrance exam and interview at KVC.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Kathmandu Valley School/College has various scholarship provisions for it's students. The college provides scholarships on merit basis. Different scholarships are available for both Management and Science faculties. Students can gain scholarship based on their SEE result when getting admission to the college. Furthermore, there are also additional scholarships available based on the results of the students during their itme in the college.
