ABOUT

Fluorescent Secondary School (FSS), founded and promoted by the joint endeavor of a team of dedicated professional teachers and academicians in 1997 initially with 219 students and 18 staff, is a co educational English medium private school. It is situated at Tokha Municipality Ward No 8, Baniyatar, Gongabu, Kathmandu, Nepal. After a long and rigorous academic journey, now, it has been transformed as one of the largest schools in the valley.

The school caters to the educational requirements of learners from Grade Nursery to Twelve. This school has successfully completed its twenty first springs creating its own recognition in the domain of school education at local and national level. It comprises basic physical infrastructures required for teaching and learning processes.

The aim of this school is to impart an all round quality education in which students are prepared to encounter any sort of challenges in their life with full power, patience and perseverance. This understanding is reflected in the school motto: EDUCATION FOR EMPOWERMENT. 

The school wants to prepare a student, not merely to pass examinations, but also aim at creating an independent and balanced person with decent attitude in mind and inner spirit to assist others. To empower each individual with skills and knowledge for the holistic development of personality for their won benefit and that of society as a whole is the core objective of this school.

Fluorescent Secondary School (FSS) mission is to provide an excellent standard of education to the students, focusing on developing their full potential of their body, mind and spirit. The team of school management and entire faculty work with their complete motivation, enthusiasm and energy not only to prepare students for the examinations but also to inculcate in them a sense of self-esteem, social and moral values in order to raise them as responsible citizens of the nation. The emphasis is given for developing students into self- confident, insightful and innovative individuals by engaging them beyond the classroom setting.
