Tribhuvan University (TU) has appointed campus heads for 24 official campuses nationwide. The appointments were announced on Sunday (Poush 28, 2081) following the university’s executive council meeting. TU spokesperson Yaman Sinha Bohora confirmed that the appointments were based on the recommendations of a selection and recommendation committee.
The selection process involved inviting and evaluating applications competitively, as the newly issued procedures outlined. Alongside the campus head appointments, the university has also named eight deans through the same competitive process.

- Lalitkala Campus – Associate Professor Yam Prasad Sharma
- Bhairahawa Campus – Lucky Prasad Joshi
- Sanothimi Campus – Associate Professor Madhav Prasad Shrestha
- Mahendra Multipurpose Campus, Nepalgunj – Associate Professor Lalmani Acharya
- Surkhet Multiple Campus – Associate Professor Madhav Prasad Khanal
- Bishwo Bhasa Campus – Associate Professor Mahendra Kumar Budhathoki
- Patan Multiple Campus – Associate Professor Raghu Bir Bista

The executive council formed the selection and recommendation committee last Ashoj. However, delays in the recommendation and appointment process led to criticism, as this round of appointments involved many campuses simultaneously.
Tribhuvan University oversees 64 official campuses across Nepal. The appointments aim to strengthen leadership and ensure efficient management at the institutional level.
Spokesperson Bohora noted that this initiative reflects TU’s commitment to improving campus academic and administrative operations.
