Shanker Dev Campus (SDC) is Tribhuvan University's most prestigious component campus for business education. It is located in the center of Kathmandu City (Putalisadak) and is staffed by a team of well-trained, highly professional, devoted, and capable faculty members who are committed to the students' success. It offers a variety of programs in several shifts, including BBS, BBA, BIM, and BBM, BBA-Finance, MBS and , MBM (morning, day and evening).

Salient Features

The buildings of Shankar Dev Campus are centrally located along a very busy side road, between the river Tukucha and Putalisadak in Kathmandu metropolis. 

All buildings in use at the present time provide ample space for educational, administrative and financial divisions, a teachers' room, academic departments, a library, a computer lab, a multi-purpose hall, classrooms, a student union, etc. It also contains a fountain, a basketball and a volley ball court, and a separate restroom for students.

Shanker Dev Campus is a pioneer campus of Tribhuvan University (TU). It has a fantastic record of providing an excellent education to the students, and it's still withholding these records till now. There are many departments that are allocated for the continuous improvement of the academic quality of the college. 

The students who come to study in Shanker Dev Campus can expect a high-quality education, and there are experienced professors and professionals to help the students choose the right path.

Admission Guidelines

For MBM

MBM program is open for both Nepalese and non-Nepalese nationals who have successfully completed the bachelor and master degree program in any discipline from Tribhuvan Universtiy and any other universities recognized by Tribhuvan University with a minimum second division marks. 

For MBS program

The student applying for admission to to MBS course must have successfully completed the BBS programme or a bachelor degree on any discipline from Tribhuvan University or from any other university recognized by Tribhuvan University. 

For BBA, BIM, BBM

According to the Faculty of Management, students who have secured grade ‘C’ in all the subjects of 11 and 12 or a minimum score of second division marks in 10+2, PCL or Equivalent in any discipline are eligible to get admission in BBA, BIM, BBM,   programs depending upon their CMAT scores. 

For BBS

Students who have scored a minimum D+ in each subject of 10+2 are eligible to study BBS in Tribhuvan University.

For BBA-FI

Students must have secured at least 2.41 CGPA with at least grade 'C' in each subject or 60% in  10+2 equivalent program and passed  entrance test (CMAT).

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Shanker Dev Campus makes available each year a considerable number of scholarships for needy and talented BBS students. There are, in addition, some other trust funds of varying amounts established by Nepali educators in their names, the net income from which is awarded each year to those students who have achieved the highest standing or grades in BBS programmes.

ABOUT US

Shanker Dev Campus (SDC) was established as Nepal National College in 1951 AD as , initially at Durbar High School and then at Tri-Chandra College in Kathmandu. Following the government's plan to merge it with Tribhuvan University, it was renamed Shanker Dev Campus in 1973 AD to recognize Professor Shanker Dev Pant's efforts in purchasing a site and constructing a structure for the campus, which were largely motivated by his missionary zeal.

Shankerdev Campus runs undergraduate and graduate courses in business and management for example Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) and Master of Business Studies (MBS). In addition, it also offers the degree of Master of Business Management (MBM), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) and Bachelor of Business Management (BBM).

Over the period Shanker Dev Campus has produced middle and manger level professionals required for the country. It has in addition, produced a number of politicians and administrators and some of them have reached the highest level of careers in their lives. It retains one of the best faculties available in the country quite dedicated to quality education in management. It carries the distinctive legacy as the pioneering Campus in Management education in Nepal. It is centrally and strategically located with sufficient premise and other facilities required for imparting quality education.

Shanker Dev Campus has successfully played the pioneer role in the development of Management Education in Nepal ever since the introduction of National Education System Plan in 1971. Now, SDC family feels proud to find many of its Bachelor and Master 's Degree holders assuming key roles in government offices, various financial institutions, corporations and in private sectors.

Shanker Dev Campus (SDC), located at the heart of Kathmandu metropolitan city, is effortlessly reachable from any corner of the Kathmandu valley. SDC, as the pioneer constituent campus of Tribhuvan University (TU), is synonymous to management education in Nepal. Thus, it has become the premier duty of SDC to produce world- class standard manpower targeting the global need. Additionally, SDC is conscious of its duty of upholding the image of TU. SDC houses highly professional, dedicated, and competent faculty as required who focus onproducing world-class management manpower.

SDC offers Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS), Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor in Information Management (BIM), Bachelor in Business Management (BBM), Master in Business Studies (MBS) and Master in Business Management (MBM). SDC untiringly supplies middle level and top level managers through the programs it has been offering to the management students joining SDC from every corner of this nation. BBS and MBS are based on annual system, whereas BBA, BIM, BBM and MBM are semester system programs.
