In addition to the BBS, MBS, and BBA programs, SDC launched the Tribhuvan University's Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) program in 2013. It is an 8-semester full-time morning program offered by the Faculty of Management (FOM) at TU, with an international standard duration of four years. Information technology courses account for 72 credit hours, management courses for 27 credit hours, and analytical and support courses for 27 credit hours.

The BIM program is a practical and beneficial way to get a business credential that exposes you to the realities of conducting business in a global environment. The program covers a wide range of conceptual inputs and has a strong focus on practical applications that acquaint students with how organizations work in general and how they interact.

BIM's aim at Shankher Dev Campus is to create socially responsible, innovative, and result-oriented IT experts to fill roles in Nepal's and other countries' rapidly increasing IT sectors.

Objectives

  • To prepare a graduates who can understand, develop and use technology that gathers and provides information effectively , who are able to filter and recognize patterns in that information and who can apply those analysis to achieve business objectives.
  • To develop skills in Object-Oriented Software design methods and Data Management System
  • To develop skills in Network Management
  • To develop understanding of all aspects of management ranging from operation, human resource, marketing, strategy and accounting and finance.
  • To develop understanding of all aspects of existing and emerging information technologies and their impact on the Information system function.
  • To develop understanding of ethics and greater social responsibility.

Scholarship and Awards

Scholarships are avaialbe with following types:

  • Full Semester tuition fee will be waived to the semester topper in each semester.
  • Two students are provided scholarship among every thirty two students who appeared in SLC/SEE from government/ community school and 10+2 from government/community higher secondary school or as per the specification provided by Office of the Dean, Faculty of Management, TU.
