Malpi Institute, which is situated in the central Kathmandu area of Baluwatar along Subarna Shamsher Marg, is immediately striking to those who visit its buildings. Established in 2000 AD, this educational institution has been dedicated to delivering student-focused education. Despite being relatively new, the College has quickly become renowned for its exceptional standards of teaching, and is part of the wider Malpi Group of Educational Institutions. Currently, Malpi Institute provides a two-year General Certificate of Education (CIE) program, which is accredited by the University of Cambridge in the UK and known as A-Levels.

RECOGNITION BY TU
The A-Level qualifications obtained at MI are recognized by TU as equivalent to Intermediate Level or the NEB +2 program. Students who wish to graduate in Nepal or in neighboring countries can easily do so as this international degree is recognized by all universities across the world. The program at MI is registered with the Ministry of Education as well as the British Council. MI is also a member of the Cambridge Educators Association Nepal (CEAN).
Examination System
The A and AS level final examinations are held twice a year in May/June and October/November while results of the examinations are normally published in August and January respectively.
Grading SYstem
Students are required to take at least four subjects with 3.5 credits, which includes a compulsory subject, English General Paper of half credit. They may also take more than required credits depending upon their interests and capabilities. Students are assessed on a grade scale from A* to E and U. A* is awarded for the highest level of achivement, whereas, E indicates the minimum required performance, and U stands for Ungraded which means failure to complete the required performance.
Eligibility
Students who have taken the SEE/GCSE/CBSE or toher equibalent courses at the time of admission can apply for A-Levels program. The main requirement is academic ability to fulfill the rigors of the challenging program.Malpi Institute uses a comprehensiveevaluation system to select a highly motivated group of students to join the program.
The school offers scholarships to highly meritorious but financially weak students. There are limited number of scholarships for desrving candidates. Candidates for Malpi Scholarships need to prove that they are financially deserving and academically capable to show ability to achive the top grades.
