SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

St. Xavier’s Godavari school, since it became a day school from a residential school, has given prime importance to educating the economically and socially poor children. First of all, the school fees are heavily subsidised to allow the local village children to attend the school. Besides, the school has a very well-run scholarship program that helps about 137 students to study in the school freely. 68 of the scholarship students are girls. Over and above this, the school accommodates 17 boys from two remote villages in Nepal’s Dhading and Jhapa districts in one of its residences, providing full scholarship for their studies along with their board and lodging. A staff member is appointed full time to take care of their educational and other needs. The number of requests for scholarships goes up every year and it is hard to offer a positive response to them as our school runs on minimum fees and at operational cost.
