Shivapuri Secondary School, established in 2005, is a reputed educational institution located in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu. The school is committed to providing quality education and holistic development to students from diverse backgrounds. With a mission to foster academic excellence, personal growth, and social responsibility, Shivapuri Secondary School has become a cornerstone of the community.
Shivapuri Secondary School has become a pivotal institution in Nepal's educational landscape, particularly in response to the growing demand for technical education among students following their SEE examinations. Recognizing the increasing importance of computer technology, the school has introduced technical education in computer engineering as part of its curriculum. Students from grades 9 to 12 can now pursue studies in technical subjects, equipping them with essential skills for both academic and practical demands. The program carefully selects students based on academic performance and genuine enthusiasm, providing them with valuable opportunities for higher education and employment prospects akin to a Diploma in Computer Engineering.
Despite initial challenges in obtaining approval for technical education, the school's persistence and collaboration with Kathmandu Metropolitan City have successfully implemented these courses. With a diverse student body of 1350 students and a dedicated faculty of 65 educators, Shivapuri Secondary School provides a dynamic learning environment that prioritizes integrating digital technology into classrooms. Beyond academics, the school actively engages students in extracurricular competitions and initiatives, such as the President's Educational Reform Programme, showcasing its commitment to holistic development. Recognized as a model institution within the community, Shivapuri Secondary School continues to nurture future leaders through the collective efforts of its faculty, management committee, and resilient student body.
Enrollment for Nursery to Grade 9 begins in the first to second week of Baisakh each academic year and continues until all spots are filled.
