In a remarkable confluence of academia and technology, New Summit College in Shantinagar, Kathmandu, partnered with TechTrix Nepal to host the third edition of TechTrix 2023. The three-day event, held from September 15 to 17. The event featured a Hackathon at its core, drawing participants from 17 different colleges, including some of Nepal's most prestigious institutions.
The event was inaugurated by Chokraj Dawadi, the principal of New Summit College, who warmly welcomed the 23 participants, representing colleges such as Amrit Science Campus, Patan Multiple Campus, Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, Bhaktapur Multiple Campus, Lumbini ICT Campus, Asian College of Higher Studies, Sagarmatha College, Himalaya College of Engineering, Kathmandu Model College, College of Applied Business, Texas College of Management and IT, KIST College, Virinchi College, St. Xavier's College, Samriddhi College, and Academia International College.
TechTrix 2023 centered its Hackathon around the theme of e-governance, reflecting the pressing need for technological solutions in this domain. The event attracted an impressive panel of expert consultants to guide and support the participants throughout the competition. These esteemed consultants included Abhishek Koirala (AI Researcher), Pramod Aryal (Lead Technical Enabler), Gaurav Bhandari (Net Enabler), Sajan Dhungana (Backend Engineer), Madan Panthi (Senior Software Engineer), Prashesman Shrestha (Net Developer), Ranjan Khatiwada (Software Engineer), and Shulav Adhikari (Project Manager Data Engineer).
The much-anticipated event will culminate in a grand closing ceremony on Sunday, September 17. The ceremony's chief guest will be none other than the esteemed Dean of Institute of Science and Technology | Tribhuvan University, Binil Aryal. Dean Aryal will not only grace the event with his presence but will also distribute prizes to the winners who have demonstrated exceptional ingenuity during the hackathon.
