Nepal Nursing Council (NNC) recently published an urgent notice regarding inclusion of male students in Nursing profession.
As per the Gender-related policy of Government of Nepal, Nepal Nursing Council has decided to allow male students to study nursing. The decision was made from the meeting of Ashadh 5, 2075 to include 15 percent, male students.
The council has notified the Universities and Institutions who are currently offering Nursing courses to enroll male students in their respective programs.

With this new directive, now the door of nursing profession is open to male. From this academic year male students will be able to study B.Sc Nursing programs as well as Certificate in Nursing program in various academic institutions.
