Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing - BPKIHS

The B. Sc. Nursing Curriculum of BPKIHS is committed to produce health manpower needed and deemed appropriate for the Twenty first Century. The curriculum spread over four years covers wide spectrum incorporating medical sciences, behavioral sciences, social sciences with managerial skills and clinical experiences as the major segment of the course. The curriculum is integrated, community oriented, partially community based, problem based and predominantly student centered.

Admission criteria

Structure of the Examination (B.Sc. Nursing)

The Entrance Examination comprises of multiple choice questions in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, General Knowledge and Aptitude for Nursing. The Entrance Examination will be of 3½ hours duration and will have one paper consisting of 200 Multiple Choice Questions.

The language of the question paper will be English.

The distribution of marks will be as follows:

Documents to be uploaded for completion of application form:

Scanned copies of each of the following original documents (scanned copies of photocopies will not be accepted):

  1. Transcript of I. Sc., Class XII of 10+2 system or A-level or equivalent examination. (Internet & fax printout is not acceptable).
  2. Passport/ citizenship (both sides)/ residential certificate with photograph/ election card.
  3. Bank voucher/swift transfer receipt

Note: Applications will be rejected if scanned copies of photocopies are uploaded.

In addition to above documents, candidates in the reserved categories must also submit the scanned copies of the following documents

  1. Dalit Group Candidates: Certificate issued by the National Dalit’s Commission and a verification letter of the same of concerned district administration office in the prescribed format.
  2. Janjati Group candidates: Certificate issued by the NEFIN/NFDIN (National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities) and a verification letter of the same of concerned district administration office in the prescribed format.
  3. Ward of BPKIHS Faculty/Staff: No objection letter from the institute is required.

Candidates who :

  • have passed I. Sc. or, Class XII examination of the 10+2 system or its equivalent of Higher Secondary Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as major subjects; and
  • are at least 17 years of age by the last date of application are eligible to apply to B. Sc. Nursing program.

Note: For Nepali Candidates applying under FTFS (Non-SAARC) Category: Those residing in Non-SAARC Countries and who have fulfilled Criteria-(i) as above from the same country are eligible.

A total of Thirty Female Students will be admitted to the graduate Nursing Course, leading to the award of B.Sc. Nursing degree of BPKIHS.
