This was followed by the introduction of a Master’s program in 2001.

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science is one of the most sought-after degrees in Nepal, attracting many applications each year. Recognizing the field's evolving needs, TU-IOST upgraded the BSc Environmental Science program from a three-year to a four-year degree in 2012. This change reflects a commitment to providing comprehensive, in-depth education that equips students with the skills and knowledge to tackle environmental issues effectively.
