Nepal Police Higher Secondary Boarding School (NPHSBS), popularly known as “Police School” was established in 2040 to help educating children of police personnel.  

NPHSBS is an exclusive co-educational residential school affiliated to SLC board and NEB in Nepal. It is a not profit making academic institution opened under the welfare program of Nepal Police Organisation. There are seven regional Police Schools in Nepal established under umbrella institutional set up of central school at Sanga, Kavre.

The central school established in strategic location at the brim of Kathmandu valley, 21 km east of core Kathmandu city lies north of Araniko Highway.

Aim and objectives:

The main objective is to impart quality boarding school education to children of police personnel and selected children of civilians [upto40%] as well. These schools explore students’potential for all round development, keeping discipline at its core. 

The motto of school is “Better Schooling for Ideal Citizens”. NPS is committed to transforming the students into globally competent citizens or leaders who can lead tomorrow’s world. NP specifically aim at producing skilled and efficient human resources by grooming students in a homely and warm atmosphere. The Central School bagged ‘Birendra Vidhya Rastiyra Shield’of the academic years 2051/052 and 2055/2056. The school was also felicitated by the Birendra Shield Regional Award in 2048 B.S. and Regional Award for 2061 as well.

Admission guidelines

The new academic session commences from the beginning of the month of Baisakh every year, immediately after the announcement of the result of the preceding year for grade IV to IX. In the same way, new session for higher secondary level(class 11) commences from mid of the Ashad every year.
