Nepal Police School, popularly known as “Police School,” was established in 2040 B.S. with the primary objective of providing quality education to the children of Nepal Police personnel. Operated under the welfare program of the Nepal Police Organization, it functions as a non-profit, community-focused academic institution dedicated to fostering disciplined, value-based education. This exclusive co-educational residential school is affiliated with the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) Board and the National Examination Board (NEB) of Nepal.
The central school is strategically located at Sanga, Kavre, just 21 kilometers east of the Kathmandu city center, on the northern side of the Araniko Highway. In addition to the central campus, there are seven regional Nepal Police Schools established across the country, all operating under a unified institutional structure, ensuring consistent academic standards and student development nationwide.

NP specifically aim at producing skilled and efficient human resources by grooming students in a homely and warm atmosphere. The Central School bagged ‘Birendra Vidhya Rastiyra Shield’of the academic years 2051/052 and 2055/2056. The school was also felicitated by the Birendra Shield Regional Award in 2048 B.S. and Regional Award for 2061 as well.
The new academic session commences from the beginning of the month of Baisakh every year, immediately after the announcement of the result of the preceding year for grade IV to IX. In the same way, new session for higher secondary level(class 11) commences from mid of the Ashad every year.
