ECEC Innovation in Education Pvt. Ltd. was established in July 2001 with the desire and vision to enhance the quality of Pre- and Primary School teaching in Nepal. The organization believes in providing every child with the right and privilege to receive adequate and child-centered education.

Early Childhood Education, founded by expatriates working closely with a Nepali Advisory Board of experienced professionals, recognizes the need for Early Childhood Development (ECD) training to establish a stronger foundation for the education of young children. Emphasizing that early childhood is a time for practical activities and play rather than rote learning, ECEC aims to ensure that children enjoy learning and do not develop negative feelings towards formal education.

The organization acknowledges the influence of a good teacher on a child's character, skills development, behavior, and values. Recognizing that young children are tactile learners who need to explore and experiment, ECEC promotes play and hands-on experiences as effective learning methods during early childhood.

ECEC asserts that children under five years old are generally not ready for formal studies and advocates for skill-oriented early childhood education. The organization emphasizes the importance of different types of play in developing socio-emotional, physical, and cognitive skills, preparing children for formal learning in areas such as reading, writing, and mathematics.

Philosophy

ECEC believes in creating a loving and stimulating environment for each unique child during their formative years. The organization acknowledges the crucial role played during this time in laying the foundation for life values, habits, thinking patterns, and social, mental, and emotional skills.

Goal

Aim

• To conduct intensive and practical short & long term Teacher Training Courses in ECD to train and equip career teachers for the profession of teaching.
• To conduct refresher training courses for teachers to encourage and stimulate them.
• To conduct workshops to help parents understand the need of adjusting and revitalizing the current teaching approach.
• To make available at ECEC a wide selection of educational materials for children’s learning and instructional tools for teachers.
• To provide consultation to principals and teachers in establishing and adapting kindergartens to the current requirements of Pre-School Teaching.
• To give assistance to Pre-Primary Schools in developing curriculum and syllabus.
• To assist schools in selecting effective and valuable educational materials and how to use them.
