Established in 1952 A.D., Ananda Kuti Vidya Peeth (AKVP) is one of Nepal’s pioneering educational institutions, founded at Ananda Kuti Vihar, a renowned Theravada Buddhist Monastery. It was established by Ven. Dr. Amritananda Mahathera and Mr. Nuchhe Bahadur Bajracharya, initially operating in the Gurukul system before transitioning into a formal school. Over the years, the institution has played a significant role in Nepal’s academic landscape, including the establishment of Ananda Kuti Science College in 1965.
Located near the World Heritage Site of Swayambhu Temple, the school offers a green, tranquil, and pollution-free environment with spacious playgrounds and modern sports facilities. Its easily accessible location, just 30 minutes from the city center, makes it a convenient choice for students. With a rich history of academic excellence and a commitment to holistic development, AKVP continues to nurture students in a well-rounded learning environment.
