As of 2024, 51 nursing colleges in Nepal offer the Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNS) or Post Basic Bachelor of Nursing (PBN) programs with an enrollment capacity of 1130 seats.
To get enrollment in the Bachelor in Nursing Science (BNS) program, students should sit and pass a common entrance examination; MECEE-BL which selects students based on merit and inclusion criteria.
Purbanchal University has granted the highest number of affiliations, with 29 nursing colleges currently offering the PBN program under its affiliation. This is followed by Tribhuvan University, which has 13 affiliated nursing colleges.
