Regional College of Health Science & Technology

Regional College of Health Science and Technology (Re-COHST) and Pokhara Bigyan Tatha Prabidhi Campus (PBPC) form two sides of the same institution, located at Nayabazar, Pokhara-9.

Re-COHST was established in 2065(2008) under the affiliation of CTEVT to offer three years of courses including Certificate in Medical Lab Technology and Certificate level in Radiography. In the process of its expansion, PBPC was established in 2068 (2011) under the affiliation of Tribhuvan University to provide upcoming and promising four years Bachelor's Degree Courses like B. Sc Microbiology and B. Tech (Food Tech). Similarly, the college has introduced semester-based M. Sc Microbiology (Medical) course from 2012. Now Regional Collage has become the first and only college in Pokhara running the above-mentioned program in Pokhara.

We recognize and are proud of the fact that our college is located in one of the most scenic areas in the country. The college has been established with an objective to pursue excellence in Science and Technology. We strive to establish it as one of the apex educational institutions in the country.

In recent years, the college has undergone a period of rapid infrastructural development. The college has installed Molecular Biology Laboratory equipped with the necessary equipment like PCR, electrophoresis set, etc that equally assist both in academic and research fields. The college has established a pilot plant and Quality control lab for carrying out food-related researches. The college has conducted several social activities including free health camps, blood donation programs, awareness programs, health and food-based research programs, nutrition and food value study, discussion programs, seminars, etc.

The college has established its own well-equipped 25 bedded hospital named Regional Hospital Pvt. Ltd. Located at Zero km-5, Pokhara. The hospital provides healthcare facilities to the general people as well as provides additional facilities for our students to conduct their hospital-based field practice, research works, and thesis dissertations.
