
Established on Magh 3rd, 2046 B.S, Pokhara Kindergarten (PKG) in Pokhara Sub-Metropolitan Municipality Ward-17 Gharipatan is a private school dedicated to providing quality education & maintain its standard, giving emphasis in character building and the acquisition of knowledge and wisdom.
Since the school had obtained permission for kindergarten level only, the school was named Pokhara Kindergarten. At that time, the population proportion was low, and few private schools were open in Pokhara. It was only in 2074 BS that the school got permission from the Ministry of Education to operate classes up to Grade 10, and from 2074 BS it granted permission to run up to class 12 in Hotel Management and Travel and Tourism.
PKG is providing a lot of opportunities for the overall development of children through various school activities. By the collaboration of parents, well-wishers, efficient and dedicated teachers, PKG will evermore strive for excellence.

Hence, the school addresses its mission to create positive and rational thinking and to eradicate negative thoughts from the child, create scientific activeness in the attitudes of students, which will make them perfect and complete citizens needed for the world in the 21st century.
Pokhara Kindergarten (PKG) welcomes applications from students from all backgrounds who desire to benefit from our educational programmes and whose parents share the school’s vision and approach to learning.
Generally, the new academic session commences from Baisakh every year. Marksheet, transfer certificate and two passport-size photographs are to be submitted while taking admission. Children aged 3-5 years of age are admitted to the nursery for a year. Those seeking admission at PKG are required to appear for screening tests that comprise written tests and an interview to determine their eligibility for admission in the school. Upon request, admission officers will make available detailed information about admission procedures to parents and students.
The school has been providing various scholarship facilities to about 20-25% students, who are underprivileged, physically disabled and of low economic background. Besides this, students securing an A+ grade in the final examination are given 100% scholarship for the following year.
