Bhanu Secondary School

Bhanu Secondary School is a reputed community-based public school located in Danda Bazar, Sangurigadhi-5, Dhankuta district, Koshi Province, Nepal. Situated at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters, the school enjoys a clean, healthy, and naturally beautiful environment. It was established in 2010 BS (1953 AD) as a community institution offering education at the primary level. It started its education at the secondary level in 2030 BS (1947 AD). Today, it operates as a full-fledged secondary school offering education from Nursery to Grade 12, making it one of the prominent schools in the Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality area.

In the general stream (Grades 11 and 12), it offers subjects in Education, Management, and Science. In the technical stream, the school runs Electrical Engineering from Grades 9 to 12, providing practical and job-oriented education. In the fiscal year 2080/2081, Bhanu Secondary School was selected as the best-managed school by Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality and received a cash prize of NPR 300,000. In the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) of the academic year 2080, student Rikesh Rijal achieved a remarkable GPA of 3.86, securing the highest marks in the entire Dhankuta district. Additionally, the school has consistently secured first position in the President Running Shield competition at the Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality level, highlighting its strength in sports.
