British Council Nepal, conferred International School Awards to 53 schools for the 2020-21 academic batch and 54 schools for the 2019-20 academic batch during their digital award ceremony held on January 25, 2022. Because of the pandemic, the council decided to consolidate the two-year award presentation into a single event. The chief guest of the ceremony was Choodamani Paudel, Director General of Center for Education and Human Resource Development (CEHRD).
The International School Award (ISA) is a global accrediting scheme that acknowledges best practices in incorporating an international dimension into schools. Accreditation is granted to successful institutions for a period of three years.
CEHRD endorses the program and award, and this is the ninth year that Nepali Schools have been recognized via this program. The award also allows the schools to utilize the coveted International School Award kite mark beside their school logo on all official documentation for a three-year term.
