The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) has been contributing towards the development of the different levels of health personnel. In the field of dental health, CTEVT has planned to produce middle levels dental service providers in the form of Dental hygienists. The Certificate in Dental Science (Dental Hygiene) graduates will be able to work as Dental Hygienists in hospital and clinical settings under the supervision of the Dental Surgeon and also will be able to in the community.
Bachelor in Dental Surgery or Bachelor in Dental Science (BDS) is a four years course with one year of rotating internship. Employment opportunities are available for dentists in hospitals, nursing homes, dental clinics, and health and teaching departments of Universities throughout Nepal.
