Bachelor of Science in Laboratory Medicine (B.Sc.Lab. Med.) Program is a new course of Kathmandu University. KU started this program from the academic year 2019.

Laboratory Medicine is one of the fastest growing specialty in our nation and abroad. No doubt, medicine and engineering are the most appreciated course in our society and this course is especially designed for such young minds who are equally interested in medicine and engineering but still confused to select the best one for different reasons.

Laboratory Medicine can be ideal course for them because when they operate high-tech robotic systems with advanced software in clinical laboratory will thrill them as they can contribute in the diagnosis and management of disease.

Graduate will be competent enough to perform variety of laboratory test, interpretation of the results and will be able to handle and take care of sophisticated robotic analyzers being used in clinical laboratories.

Similarly, comprehensive knowledge and skill of Total Quality Laboratory Management will establish them as a young and emerging leader in the diagnostic laboratories.

Aims of Program:
