Udaya Secondary School

Udaya Secondary School is a public educational institution located in Chandrakot Rural Municipality–4, Shantipur, Gulmi. Established in 2014 BS through the significant efforts of Late Mathura Prasad Shrestha and other local social contributors, the school has been serving the educational needs of students from nearly a dozen villages in the Chandrakot valley.

Initially recognized as a primary school, Udaya Secondary School gradually expanded its academic levels—upgrading to lower secondary in 2017 BS, secondary in 2026 BS, and higher secondary in 2054 BS. Since 2070 BS, the school has been offering a technical stream in Plant Science from Grades 9 to 12, alongside the general stream. Students can choose between these streams from Grade 9 based on their interests and career goals.

At the higher secondary level, the school provides a wide range of subject options under the general stream, including Accountancy, Economics, English, Nepali, Education, Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Business Studies, Marketing, and Sociology. The school is supported by a team of experienced and qualified teachers dedicated to delivering quality education.

Recently, Udaya Secondary School has been recognized as a Model School by the Ministry of Social Development, Province 5. The institution remains committed to equipping students with practical knowledge and career-oriented skills, preparing them to meet the demands and challenges of the 21st century.
