The Surya Vinayak English Secondary School, situated in Srijananagar, Bhaktapur, was established in 2041 B.S., and has been offering high-quality education for over 30 years as an all-inclusive school. Their philosophy revolves around acknowledging the individuality of each child and recognizing their distinct abilities. The school nurtures its students in an affectionate and ideal atmosphere where they can develop independently and thrive mentally, morally, socially, and physically.
When the school was establoshed, even children who were considered physically normal did not receive sufficient attention, care, attachment, and bonding that they deserved at school. Disabled individuals were often neglected, and the segregation of children based on their socio-economic, physical, and intellectual limitations was a harsh reality of our society then and still exists today. Despite societal labels of differences, the school has always welcomed everyone as inclusivity was always the primary goal. However, due to prevailing socio-cultural attitudes, the school was unable to receive adequate support, which resulted in many children missing out on educational opportunities. Although the lack of support still exists, the school now receives constant support from well-wishers since the beginning, allowing them to continue their mission.
Surya Vinayak English Secondary School promotes academic excellence by creating an inclusive and diverse environment where all children can grow academically but also with a sense of respect, integrity, self-discipline and social responsibility.
With the motto “Education is the eye of society”, the Surya Vinayak English Secondary School “where everyone counts” articulates itself around the following values:
Students are admitted from play group / nursery to class 8.
Admission is taken directly from nursery. An entrance test is required for the other classes. The transfer and clearance certificates from the previous school must be presented at the time of admission.
Application forms along with the school prospectus are distributed from the school office.
We believe that no child should be deprived from getting an education. We feel that our school is different from many other schools. Our school currently requests a lower tuition fee than other schools in Nepal in order to provide learning abilities to children in need. We are committed to impart education that our society needs at affordable fees. We provide full and partial scholarship for deserving students who are coming from remote areas and communities (considering economic background). We always evaluate our success in terms of student achievements and performance in different activities.
