Shree Aajad Secondary School

Shree Azad Secondary School located in Jhaukhel, Changunarayan Municipality in Bhaktapur is an English-medium public institution that stands parallel to the private schools in terms of the school's quality academic performance and management. Established in 2018 B.S., the school offers classes from Playgroup to Grade 10. Teaching is conducted in English medium up to Grade 6, and in Nepali and English from Grades 7 to 10. Classes from Play Group to Grade 2 follow the Montessori-based learning approach. 

Students and teachers arrive early in the morning for teaching and learning activities. The school has initiated regular morning classes to support student learning, and classes are also conducted after 4 p.m. The school has introduced an additional one-hour session in the morning and evening under the idea of ‘One Extra Hour for School’. Teachers are not provided any extra allowance for this, and students are not burdened with additional fees. 

As part of efforts to ensure quality education, the school conducts admission tests before admitting new students and is actively working to increase parental involvement. In the last academic year (2081 B.S.), the school achieved top results in the municipality-level Grade 8 exams. The new practice was initiated to maintain this academic excellence.
