Kathmandu Model Secondary School (KMSS) is a well-known name throughout Nepal. Since its establishment in 2000 A.D., it has consistently strived for quality education, and over the course of a decade, it has carved out an enviable niche as one of the best colleges in the country. Admission Guidelines

Science

Admission procedure in Science

  1. Entrance form fill up: Student should fill up online admission form which will be available at college’s website after the announcement of result of grade 10(SEE). Student securing at least CGPA 2.85 and B plus grade each in Science, Mathematics, Optional Mathematics and English will be eligible to fill up the form. Students who have passed SEE without Optional mathematics are ineligible to fill up the form. Prospectus, Fee structure, model question, Entrance center, entrance symbol number, entrance date and time will be sent to your registered email ID. Along with the application form students should attach recently taken photograph with white background.
  2. Entrance Exam: 
    • KMC will set an entrance exam. The date time and center of Entrance Exam will be sent to your email.
    • Entrance exam will be paper based, model questions will be provided through email.
    • Entrance questions include English 20 marks, Science 40 marks and Mathematics 40 marks.
    • Answer sheet of students will be checked by computer so students are suggested to follow instruction given by invigilators.
    • Result of entrance will be published after 2nd day of the examination or informed during examination.
    • Students who are listed in merit list (all the entrance passed students may not include in merit list) are informed to either direct admission or an interview. Date of the interview will be given along with result.
  3. Admission:
    • Students who are enlisted in direct admission from entrance result should not appear for interview. They can get admitted directly within deadline. Those students who are listed for interview can get admission only when they pass the interview.
    • KMC will publish higher number of students in merit list than its intake capacity so students are informed to get admission before the seats are fulfilled.
    • KMC will provide scholarship to deserving students on first come first basis. Students are advised to get admission before the scholarship quota (refer scholarship section for detail) get fulfilled.
    • Please ensure that you have right knowledge about fee structure, scholarship and payment process.

Management , Law and Humanities 

Admission in Management, Law and Humanities faculty will be based on the criteria which are set by the school

  1. Entrance form fill up: Student should fill up an online admission form which will be available in college’s website after the announcement of the result of grade 10 (SEE). Students securing at least CGPA 2.05 and C grade each in Mathematics and English will be eligible to fill up form. Prospectus, Fee structure, model question, Entrance center, entrance symbol number, entrance date and time will be sent to your registered email ID. Along with the application form students should attach recently taken photograph with white background.
  2. Entrance Exam:
    • KMC will set an entrance exam.
    • Entrance exam will be physical and computer based multiple choice questions. Model questions will be provided through email
    • Answers will be checked by computer so students are suggested to follow the instructions given by invigilators.
    • Result of entrance will be published on same day of examination or will be informed during examination.
    • Entrance questions include English 45 marks, General Knowledge 15 marks and Mathematics 15 marks.
  3. Admission:
    • Students who are listed in merit list are informed to admit directly.
    • Deadline of admission will be given along with result.
    • KMC will publish higher number of students in merit list than its intake capacity so students are informed to get admission before the seats are fulfilled.
    • KMC will provide wide range of scholarship to deserving students on first come first basis.
    • Students are advised to get admission before fulfill and scholarship quota (refer scholarship section for detail).

  • Separate entrance test will be conducted for student of government school who apply for special scholarship.
  • Limited number of student will be provided this scholarship on merit basis.
  • Sushil Memorial Scholarship which is established on the memory of Late Sushil Sahani will be provided to top three students of first entrance examination

Those who are enlisted in scholarship criteria must get admission before completion and scholarship quota as scholarship is available first come first admission basis.

  • Scholarship for Science in Grade XI is awarded on the basis of Cumulative marks [SEE (25%) + KMC Entrance (75%)].
