Shree Janata Secondary School, located in Banaganga Municipality, Kapilvastu, was established in 2018 BS with a noble mission—to provide quality education to the socio-economically disadvantaged communities of Kapilvastu and neighboring districts. Strategically situated near the East-West Highway and close to the Kothi River, the school lies about 29 kilometers west of Butwal.
The foundation of the school was laid by visionary local leaders and social workers who recognized that lasting societal progress could only be achieved through education. What began over six decades ago as Nepal Rastriya Primary School in Tenuhiya, Pipara village, has now evolved into one of the leading educational institutions in the district. Seven years after its inception, it was renamed Janata School and gradually upgraded to offer lower secondary education.
Understanding the financial struggles of the local population, the school consistently strived to expand educational opportunities. In 2038 BS, it received affiliation for the secondary level, and in 2066 BS, it became the first community school in the district to gain approval to run +2 Science programs under the Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB).
Today, Shree Janata Secondary School stands as a symbol of community-driven educational development, committed to nurturing the future leaders of the nation across all sectors. The school welcomes visitors during office hours and continues its mission of shaping a better generation—ready to contribute meaningfully to the world.
