The Examination Control Office situated in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, under the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), has issued crucial details for students residing in local communities who are deprived of technical education opportunities. This notification concerns a distinctive scholarship scheme providing tuition-free education at the diploma level. It is a program supported by the fiscal allocations and initiatives of the Government of Nepal for the year 2080/081.

A quota of 200 positions exists, with 108 specifically reserved for eligible Nepali citizens.

  • The exam will occur at various provincial centers, including Itahari, Janakpur, Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, Surkhet, and Dhangadhi.

Eligibility

For the pre-alphabetic system, eligibility requires passing SLC with Mathematics, English, and Science, or their equivalents, or achieving a minimum of 68.33% in the technical SLC/Pre-Diploma level CMA program.

Under the post-alphabetic system, candidates must have passed SEE with a minimum GPA of 2 and an overall grade point average of 4.0, including compulsory subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science, or their equivalents. Alternatively, achieving a score of 68.33% in the Pre-Diploma level CMA program is also acceptable.

Application Form Submission

Qualified students must acquire and deliver the application form in the province where their local municipality is situated. This ensures an efficient process that caters to the distinct requirements and resources of each province.

Required Documents

  • A copy of the citizenship certificate or a certified birth registration for minors is required to confirm Nepali citizenship. 
  • Applicants must provide a certificate of permanent residence from their municipality.
  • For academic certificates, candidates need to submit their SEE or Technical SLC/Pre-Diploma pass mark sheet, along with attested copies of character certificates and the mark sheet of the test examination for 29-month Technical SLC candidates.
  • If candidates studied outside the SEE Board of Nepal, they must provide attested copies of migration and equivalence certificates. 
  • Additionally, applicants need to submit three recent passport-size photographs (35x45mm) with clear facial features.
  • For migrated applicants, a letter from the local authority is required, dated at least six months before the notification’s publication date.
