June 4, 2025 | Dhulikhel – Kathmandu University (KU) has issued a public notice through its Registrar’s Office, calling on eligible and interested private colleges to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for affiliation in select academic programs. The move aims to expand access to quality higher education and produce competent human resources across various fields.
According to the notice published on Jestha 21, 2082 (June 4, 2025), KU is open to granting affiliation for the study and teaching of certain undergraduate programs under its Schools of Arts, Education, Engineering, Management, and Medical Sciences.
The programs open for affiliation are:
- Bachelor in Environmental Studies
- Bachelor in Social Work
- B.Tech. Ed. in Information Technology
- Bachelor in Health Informatics
- Bachelor in Information Technology
- BBA in Hospital Management
Interested and duly established colleges are required to submit their application in the prescribed format along with all necessary documents by Ashadh 10, 2082 (June 24, 2025).
This initiative is part of Kathmandu University’s ongoing commitment to expanding the reach and quality of its academic offerings through partnerships with qualified institutions across Nepal.

Required Documents to be Attached:
- Copy of the college's operating license.
- College academic details (number of students, number of professors, teacher-student ratio, subjects taught, past pass percentage).
- College financial details (income, expenses, and asset valuation report including liabilities, audited report for the fiscal year 2080-81).
- College physical details (area of land and building, location of the college and ease of access).
- College legal details (copy of regulations and memorandum of association, details of operators, and copy of the decision made by the governing body for affiliation).
- Details of qualifications of academic and administrative staff required to operate the academic program.
- Details of physical infrastructure and transportation facilities, etc.
- Details of investment and cash reserves reflecting financial sustainability.
- Student availability potential study/survey report.
- A non-refundable deposit of Rs. 50,000/- (Fifty Thousand Rupees Only) along with the Expression of Interest, to be deposited in KU Account No. 00501030250009.
