The Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) is a cooperative undergraduate program administered by Kathmandu University (KU) in Nepal for the initial two years of study and Crown Institute of Higher Education (CIHE) in Australia for the subsequent two years. With a maximum capacity of 30 students per intake, this program offers a unique chance for students to engage in the dynamic academic settings of both KU and Australia, focusing on the promising field of information technology.

Salient Features

Registration, Transcript and Dual Certificate

  • Students will be registered at both partner institutions.
  • Modality of Program: Two year in KU and remaining two year in Crown Institute. If visa is denied by austrailian immigration, four years of study will be conducted in KU Nepal.
  • The transcript will have logos and seals from both intuitions.
  • At the end of each semester, credit will be transferred from both institutions.
  • A special convocation will be held in Nepal with designated representatives from Crown Institute of Higher Education for the awarding of the degree.

Eligibility

Nepalese and Non-Nepalese applicants who have completed +2 or equivalent degree in science stream (Physics, Chemistry/ Computer Science, and Mathematics) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or a CGPA of 2.0 in aggregate are eligible to apply for admission to the program.

Students with a robust academic cecord, proficient English skills, and who meet financial requirements for an Australian student visa will have a better chance to secure an Australian student visa.

Admission Process
