The salaries of Nepal Police officials in the various posts and ranks will remain the same as in the last two fiscal years.
In the budget speech for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/82 (2024/2025) presented to a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Jestha 15, 2081 (i.e., May 28, 2024), Finance Minister Barsa Man Pun did not announce an increase in the salary and benefits for government employees, including the Nepal Police.
In the fiscal year 2079/80 budget, the Nepalese Government has implemented a 15% raise in salaries for government employees.
Furthermore, Nepal Police Officers are entitled to receive a monthly ration ranging from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 24,000, which is separate from their salaries. This ration serves as an additional allowance for every police officer in Nepal, with those stationed in remote areas receiving a higher rate of around Rs. 800 per day, whereas the standard rate stands at Rs. 200 per day. Nepal Police Officers receive both their salaries and rations per month.
