Admissions Open for Foundation Level, Application Level, Advisory Level at Gurukul CA

From April 01, 2026
Until June 30, 2026

Gurukul CA, located in Bagbazar, Kathmandu, has announced that admissions are open for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) programs for the academic year 2083.

  • Foundation Level
  • Application Level
  • Advisory Level

Eligibility Criteria for the Foundation Course at ICAN

  • Students who have appeared for Grade XII exams are eligible to register for the Foundation course under ICAN. If Grade XII results are pending, registration is still permitted.

  • If Grade XII results have already been published, students can register directly. In that case, they must meet the minimum academic requirement.

  • For students with pending results, it is important to ensure that their final score will be at least 2 GPA, 40 percent marks, or a C grade. If the results fall below this standard, ICAN will cancel the registration.

  • Grade XII students awaiting results have two options: they may wait for their results and enroll in the next session, or they may register immediately if they are confident of achieving at least 2 GPA, 40 percent marks, or a C grade.

  • Students from any stream are eligible for the Foundation course. This includes Science (Physical Group or Bio Group), Management, Law, Humanities, and A Levels. The level of study should be equivalent to Grade XII, regardless of the subjects taken.

  • There is no entrance examination for the Foundation course. Students can directly enroll with ICAN and begin preparing for the exams.

Eligibility Criteria for Registration in Application Level (ICAN)

To enroll in the Application Level, a candidate must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Pass the Foundation Examination, OR

  • Be a Graduate or Post Graduate with a minimum of 50 percent aggregate marks.

Important Note:

Graduates and Post Graduates with 50 percent or more marks are allowed to enter the Application Level directly without passing the Foundation examination. This is also known as the direct entry route.

However, if a Graduate or Post Graduate has an aggregate mark of less than 50 percent, direct entry to the Application Level is not permitted. In such cases, the candidate must first pass the Foundation Examination to become eligible for registration in the Application Level.

Eligibility Criteria for Registration in Advisory Level (ICAN)

To enroll in the Advisory Level, a candidate must meet the following requirements:

  • Pass the Application Level (both groups)

  • Complete 40 hours of IT Training
