Udayasi English Secondary School (UESS) was established on Mangsir 1, 2051 B.S., within the premises of Udayapur Cement Factory in Jaljale, Udayapur. The school was founded with the aim of providing practical, cost-effective, and quality education—initially to the children of factory employees and nearby residents. Since then, it has grown into a reputable community-based institution serving students from pre-primary to secondary level.
The school is managed by Shree Udayasi Samaj Sikshya Sewa (SUSSS), a non-governmental, non-profit, and socially driven organization. SUSSS comprises mainly employees of the cement factory and local residents who are committed to uplifting the educational and social standards of the region. The factory continues to support the school’s infrastructure and resources, while the organization ensures transparency through regular audits and reporting of donations and income.
From the beginning, UESS has emphasized both academic excellence and social responsibility. The school encourages students to actively participate in environmental conservation, awareness campaigns, and community engagement activities, fostering both intellectual and moral development.
UESS aims to improve the educational, environmental, and cultural conditions of the local community. Recognizing the challenges faced in these areas, the school works with local resources, volunteers, and organizations to bring about meaningful change. Students are engaged in environmental education, field surveys, and problem-solving initiatives that help them better understand their surroundings and contribute to societal development.
With a long-term goal of offering higher secondary (+2) education, UESS is working on strategic plans to upgrade its academic offerings and establish itself as a model school in the region.
