Palungtar Municipality is one of the 11 municipalities in Gorkha District of Gandaki Province. As per the 2021 census, the municipality has a total population of 37,409, comprising 17,262 males (46.1%) and 20,147 females (53.9%), with a literacy rate of 75.41%.
