Bharatpur Metropolitan City has selected 438 scholarships out of 1,161 applicants who applied for the scholarship. The selection was based on the submitted application and the current number of students enrolled in each school.
Students studying in both institutional and community schools who were selected will receive the scholarship for both grades 11 and 12.
Last year, a total of 266 students received scholarships for Classes 11 and 12. Acharya emphasized that the expanded number of scholarships prioritizes students who are enrolling based on their percentage marks obtained in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE).
According to Subash Chandra Acharya, Head of the Bharatpur Metropolitan Education Administration Department, among the selected students, 219 are female. Similarly, 330 students were selected for science subjects while 108 were selected for other subjects.

Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Education Department, Municipal Office, Lions Chowk, Bharatpur, has announced a scholarship notice for students wishing to study under the scholarship quota in Class 11 for the academic session 2082.
Students interested in obtaining the scholarship must fill out and submit the online application form along with the necessary documents through the official website of Bharatpur Metropolitan City: www.bharatpurmun.gov.np

- Copy of the SEE exam transcript.
- Identification document for students with disabilities.
- Certification from the District Administration Office for students belonging to indigenous, ethnic, and marginalized communities.
- Documentation certified by the District Administration Office for children of martyrs, children affected by the people's movement, children of displaced families, and children affected by the Madhesh movement.
- A photocopy of the recommendation form for students who wish to apply under the poverty and destitution category, which should be placed on the municipality's website and certified by the ward office.
- Recommendation letter from the ward office based on the poverty and destitution recommendation form.
