Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has officially published the results of the final phase (wrap-up) scholarship selection for Grade 11 and 12 for the academic session 2083/84.
The publication follows the decision of the Scholarship Examination Committee dated Asar 9, 2083. This final nomination list includes candidates who passed the entrance examination held on Jestha 17 but were not selected in the first or second rounds, and who submitted a fresh online re-application by the Asar 8 deadline.
Students included in this final nomination list must now complete their admission process at their designated institutional schools within the specified timeframe to secure their scholarship benefits.

Admission Process

After logging in, students are required to download and print their official Nomination Letter. This letter must be presented at the designated educational institution to complete the mandatory admission process by the deadline of Asar 11.
Selection Criteria
The final phase (wrap-up) results were determined based on:
- The student's position in the Overall Merit Ranking.
- The number of net vacant seats remaining in specific subjects and institutional schools.
- The preferences submitted during the re-application process.
Important: Students who fail to enroll at their designated school within the specified deadline (Asar 11) will forfeit their scholarship. No further claims or objections regarding scholarship facilities will be entertained after the deadline has passed.

Kathmandu, June 19, 2026: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has reopened online applications for Grade 11 and 12 scholarships for the academic session 2083/84 for the final nomination (wrap-up) process.
The reopening follows the publication of the first and second nomination lists and the update of admission records by institutional schools under the KMC scholarship program. The final nomination process aims to fill the remaining vacant subject-wise scholarship seats.
Students who were not included in the first and second nomination lists and wish to be considered for the final nomination round can submit a fresh online application by selecting their preferred subject and institutional schools.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC), through its Office of the Municipal Executive, has published the Second-Phase Nomination List for students selected under the Grade 11 and 12 Scholarship Program for the academic session 2083/84.
The second-phase nomination has been prepared based on the final merit list, students’ academic stream preferences, institutional choices, reservation categories, and the scholarship seats remaining vacant after the first-round admission process.
According to the notice issued on Jestha 29, 2083, students nominated in this phase can access their nomination details by logging in to the KMC scholarship portal using their roll number, date of birth, and password. Students are required to download and print their Nomination Card and complete admission at the institution to which they have been assigned.
Admission Deadline
Students nominated in the second phase must complete their admission process on:
- Asar 1, 2083
- Asar 2, 2083
Failure to complete admission within the specified period may result in the cancellation of the nomination and forfeiture of the scholarship opportunity.
How to Check the Nomination Result
Students can view their nomination status by visiting the KMC scholarship portal and logging in using:
- Roll Number
- Date of Birth
- Password (received via mobile number or email)
After logging in, students should download and print their Nomination Card and follow the admission instructions provided by their assigned institution.
Third-Phase Nomination
KMC has also informed that students who passed the scholarship examination but were not nominated in either the first or second phase will be considered for the remaining vacant seats. A notice regarding the third-phase nomination is expected to be published by Asar 3, 2083.

Final Nomination List for Grade 11/12 Scholarship with Recommended School
Update - June 4, 2026 (Jestha 21, 2083)
Kathmandu Metropolitan City has published the rechecking results of the Grade 11 Scholarship Examination. After reviewing 331 re-evaluation applications, KMC confirmed that the results of all candidates remained unchanged except for one candidate (Roll No. 16392). The metropolitan is also in the process of updating the Final Merit List after verifying correction requests related to personal details and reservation categories.

Publication of Preliminary Results for Grade 11 and 12 Scholarship Selection Examination
14,057 students pass the scholarship selection examination
2-day window for re-evaluation if dissatisfied with the merit list

Kathmandu. The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has announced that 14,057 students have passed the scholarship selection examination held yesterday (Jestha 17). According to today's decision by the Scholarship Examination Committee, the preliminary results, including the merit order of candidates who secured a minimum of 40 marks, have been published. This scholarship is for students to study in Grade 11 and 12 for the 2083/084 academic session in institutional (private) educational institutions operating under the Metropolitan City.
To view the results, students can access the portal where they filled out their online application. By entering their roll number, date of birth, and password (received via mobile/email), they can view, download, and print their scorecards.
According to Education Officer and Examination Committee Coordinator Namraj Dhakal, this is a preliminary result. If a student is dissatisfied with these results, 2 days has been provided to submit an application for re-evaluation by the end of office hours on June 3 (Jestha 20). Following this, the final merit list will be published. Only after the publication of the final merit list will the school matching and student nomination recommendation process begin.
Dhakal noted that the highest score achieved in the examination was 92. The second highest was 91, achieved by one student, while five students tied for third place with 90 marks.
If dissatisfied with the published results, students can submit an application to the Education Department by June 3 (Jestha 20), along with a copy of their admit card and proof of payment of a 1,000 rupee fee. Additionally, if there are discrepancies in details such as name or gender in the form, or if a student’s application was approved under a reserved category for which they are ineligible and they wish to remove that category (note: adding a new category is not permitted), they may submit an application with supporting documents by June 3 (Jestha 20).
The notice for the selection of students for these scholarships was published on April 16, 2026 (Baisakh 3, 2083).
The examination for the scholarships was conducted across 83 centers. Out of 26,888 students who applied online, consisting of 16,549 male students, 10,333 female students, and 6 others, the applications of 26,603 students were approved. Of the approved applicants, 22,020 students participated in the examination.

The Education Department is currently reviewing submitted applications and verifying the uploaded documents. Applications are being categorized as Approved, Rejected, or Under Verification. In this regard, applicants are requested to note the following:
1. Deadline for Re-uploading Documents
Applicants who have received an "Under Verified" notification via email or message due to incomplete documents or errors in their application must upload the required documents by Jestha 12, 2083 (May 26, 2026).
Applications that are not corrected within the specified deadline, or that contain incorrect information, will be automatically cancelled.
2. Application Verification Period
The verification of submitted applications will continue until Jestha 13, 2083 (May 27, 2026).
Applicants whose forms are still awaiting verification are kindly requested to remain patient while the review process is completed.
3. Admit Card Download
Students whose applications have been approved will be able to download their admit cards directly from entrance.kathmandu.gov.np starting from 10:00 AM on Jestha 14, 2083 (May 28, 2026).
Applicants are advised to download and print their admit cards in color before appearing for the examination.

The placement will be done in the institutional schools under the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Students are requested to enroll only after the scholarship results are published. It is informed that students who enroll before the results are published cannot be facilitated for scholarship acquisition.

Scholarship Distribution Criteria for Kathmandu Metropolitan City
In accordance with the scholarship examination guidelines, the total pool of scholarship seats (representing the minimum 10% provided by institutional schools) will be distributed as follows:
General Category Distribution (60% of total pool)
- 40%: Students from Community Schools.
- 14%: Permanent residents of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
- 5%: Students previously on scholarship in institutional schools.
- 1%: Permanent residents from Landfill Site affected areas.
Reservation Category Distribution (40% of total pool)
The remaining seats are reserved for students who completed their SEE from Community Schools, categorized as follows:

Application Fee: Free
Exam information: There will be 100 multiple-choice questions based on the subjects and areas covered in the examination based on the Secondary Level Class 10 curriculum.
It will consist of 30/30 questions from compulsory subjects such as Mathematics, Science, and English, and 10 questions from General Knowledge. To pass the scholarship examination, a minimum of 40% marks must be obtained. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
The total duration of the exam will be two hours. Applicants won't be able to apply to more than one program.
Minimum Eligibility for Application for Ktm Metro Grade 11-12 Scholarship
- Having a minimum GPA of 1.6 in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE).
- Completion of SEE from a community school.
- Completion of SEE through studying with a scholarship of 10% in institutional schools.
- Permanent residence in Ward No. 1, 2, 3 of the directly affected area from Landfield Side, and Ward No. 1, 3, 4 of Dhunibeshi Rural Municipality.

- Citizenship certificate or birth registration certificate
- SEE or equivalent mark sheet and character certificate
- Recommendation as per Schedule 1 for students studying in community schools
- Recommendation as per Schedule 2 for students studying on scholarships in institutional schools

- Certificate as per section 7 mentioned in the reserved group in the form for scholarship purposes
