Tribhuvan University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has launched the Master of Computer Application (MCA) program in 2024 AD. Initially, the program will be offered through a constituent campus, Patan Multiple Campus, with a seating capacity of 30 students only.
The admission criteria for the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program are as follows:

Completion of one of the following undergraduate degrees:
- Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA)
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Computer/Electronics/Information Technology/Software
- Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT)
- Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Technology (BSc.CSIT)
- Bachelor of Information Management (BIM)
- Bachelor of Education in Information and Communication Technology (Bed. ICT/BICT)

Attainment of a minimum grade of B (2.7) as per the grading system of BCA, Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Alternatively, a minimum score of 45 percent in the Bachelor's Degree (for annual system) or its equivalent degree is required for admission.
